Wow! This really changed my outlook on dating and made me realize that I was falling for guys that were totally wrong for me. It makes so much sense to find someone who can make up in areas where you lack because dating really is about teamwork. How can a relationship work out when you have two people with the same strengths and weaknesses?

Pretty soon I will talk about the dysfunctional attraction to our opposite. I used to love fucked up warriors and I created a negative bond more times than I can count. Soon after, I met a healthy lover/queen and although the relationship was dull, she taught me the wonder of a healthy person. Now I am searching for a functional warrior/queen!

You know why I am a magician? You know what is magical about me? LOL.

Anyway, I agree with you. I am chaotic and I need to be with someone orderly. Yes, bad associations with a King type (except the person wasn’t so nurturing.) I also realize that I dated one this year and now I understand why we got along so well.

Ya I see what you mean… I guess I’m more passive, but I tend to be a bit balanced in the creative/logical spectrum, but probably slightly more logical. So Queen with a bit of Lover…? I guess makes sense. And we all have a little bit of each category really, since we’re most complex than a flow chart.

That is the problem with a warrior, they are often so strong they take on the kings role and bulldoze their match the lover. What a warrior needs to do if turn down the volume a bit and try to find a strong, intelligent, powerful Lover. (someone like me!)
The strong lover is able to set boundaries and keep the strong warrior/magician in check.
The other option is to train a lover how to deal with you and make your expectations very clear. Be very cautious with this though, if you are too strong the lover will run. (I ran all the way to Japan, I was so frustrated with American warrior women)

I’m definitely a warrior with a little bit of the magician thrown in. My only thing is I’m so used to being in charge and bossing people around and having to make the decisions and busting my ass, that when i get into a relationship- I don’t want to do any of that. I just want someone just to make the decision for me, so that i don’t have to think for once.

Am I more passive or assertive?
am I more creative or logical?
Which category is that?
If you are still confused I imagine that you have learned the behaviors of other archetypes.
Your true nature is what you were born with and often get glazed over with time and baggage.

What is your opposite? The King! I know you don’t think you get along with a king but I am sure you can find some examples in life, where you had a strong connection with a king.
Don’t like receive orders? I am guessing that you were with a dysfunctional king in the past and now you have negative associations with it.

Love the blog, but I can’t understand your graph there with the 4 archetypes, along with the feminine/masculine, logical/creative. I seem to be all over the shop. When I read your descriptions, I would classify myself as a mix of Queen and Magician, but then I look at the chart and they’re basically on opposite ends of the spectrum. It’s all very confusing… and yet intriguing! So what would the opposite of Queen/Magician be – Warrior/Lover? That sounds hot, and yet completely impossible at the same time. This explains a lot…
